The following admission criteria are considered when evaluating and assessing children and their families:
- Youth must be between the ages of 10 and 18 years old
- Youth are admitted regardless of their race, religious beliefs and national origin
- Space is limited in every group. Consideration will be given to whether there is room in your desired group
- Group size is limited to 10 students in the field
- Youth must be in good physical health prior to admission
Students appropriate for admission at The Monarch Center may have, but are not limited to, any of the following issues:
- Substance abuse problems
- Slipping grades
- Worrisome behavior changes
- Legal problems
- ADD/ADHD
- Lack of interest in productive and healthy hobbies
- Struggling with divorce or other change in the family
- Dealing with grief
- Rebellious, angry, defiant
- Sexually, physically or emotionally abused
- Conduct disorder diagnosis
- Depressed
- Low self-esteem
- Difficulty in maintaining positive relationships with peers and/or family members
Because each student's therapy program is individualized prior to the program, it is imperative
that we receive open and honest responses to our enrollment forms as soon as possible. It is only
through a comprehensive understanding of your child's history that we can customize their therapy
program to be the most beneficial.
